How to smooth concrete

1. The method of smoothing concrete is as follows: To smooth the concrete surface, different methods are used in two stages. In the concrete construction stage, a formwork with a smooth contact surface should be used, and the joints of the formwork should be firm, tight and flush. Before pouring the concrete, brush the release agent once.

2. When mixing concrete, strictly control the water-cement ratio. When the concrete is poured, ensure that the formwork is supported firmly, and vibrate fully with a vibrating rod to remove the free water in the concrete, so as to ensure that the concrete is dense and the formwork has no slurry leakage.


3. Adequate maintenance. Demolition of the formwork according to the time specified in the specification, for example, the side formwork should not be demolded less than 7 days, and the bottom formwork should not be less than 21 days.
